Quality checks include cosmetic testing and functional testing.

At Recycler Asia, we carry out a series of tests to make sure customers receive quality products. Data on the devices is thoroughly wiped using NIST approved software and we check several aspects of the assets including cosmetic and functional areas.

For example, the following areas are checked for devices such as laptops, desktops, and mobiles:
• Scratches on the screen or body
• White spots on the screen
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
• USB and HDMI cable ports
• Speakers (both left and right where applicable)
• Track pads

In addition, we also check:
• Battery health
o If the battery health is greater than 60%, we use the battery
o If the battery health is less than 60%, it is replaced
• Camera quality
• Device heating levels with charging and in use
• Any sharp edges on the device
• Mic and display quality
• Touch screen sensitivity
• Charging time

For bulk orders, to minimize manual errors, specialized software is used for testing.

The quality is determined using the following test process.
1. 5% of the overall order is tested.
2. If the test is successful, the order is shipped.
3. If the test fails, another 10% of the order is sampled. If the test is successful, the order is shipped.
In case of bulk purchases, and in some special situations, buyers can request to witness the testing.
